From The Editor

The annual village BBQ was another great success.  Worries about the weather were put to one side as the sun came out as did lots of Needham residents & friends who were entertained by a very jolly band and were provided with delicious burgers and hot dogs cooked by our chef Andrew with invaluable help from his new commis chef Rachel, not to mention the delicious desserts contributed by volunteers.  The children had lots of fun on the bouncy castle.  Thank you to all the Friends of Needham Village Hall committee members and to all the volunteers who came to help.  Without these people events like the BBQ would not happen.

The next Village event is scheduled to be a Christmas Tea Party on Saturday 16 December. Put this date in your diary! I’m very aware of the many new residents/families in Needham - it would be good to see you all at The Christmas Tea Party.

Speed Awareness Machine - You may have seen SAM (I hope you drivers did see SAM!) making an appearance in the village in an attempt to moderate the speeds at which cars travel through Needham.  More about this elsewhere in the Link.

This is my penultimate editorial as the next issue of The Needham Link in November will be my last as editor.  It is still not too late to volunteer to take over the role.  Please contact me at needhamlink@gmail.com if you are interested.  I look forward to hearing from you!

The Needham Link can be read online at www.needhamlink.co.uk  This is a good way for friends or ex-residents to keep up with what’s happening in Needham. We have readers as far afield as the Harleston & the US!
