Needham Parish Council
A full meeting of Parish Councillors was held on 17 March.  It was reported at the meeting that, as part of the Waveney Valley Project, the village is to have new name signs.  These will incorporate the speed limit in what is called a Mantle Clock type sign.  It is hoped that this arrangement will serve to emphasize the importance of keeping to the speed limit through the village.
The signs will also incorporate the logo that has been specially designed for the Waveney Valley towns and villages.
Planning Approvals:
111 High Road: Listed Building Consent has been granted for single and two storey extensions and repairs.
1 Brook Lane: A single storey rear extension has been approved.
Planning applications considered by the Parish Council
83 High Road: conversion of outbuilding for residential use and erection of carport
91 High Road: amendment to Listed Building Consent; addition of double glazed doors and enlargement of retained window.
The next meeting will be at 7.30pm on Monday 28 May in the Coronation Village Hall.  This will be preceded by the Annual General Meeting at 7.00pm.  All Parish Councillors invite you to join us to when the Chairman will present a report on the previous years activities.
Contact details for your Parish Councillors can be found at www.needhamlink.co.uk or on the Parish notice boards.
